Hi there! It’s Party Day here, today, for our oldest (she’s turning the Big Ten on Sunday!! How did that happen?!)!! We all just watched some beautiful hot air balloons sail over our farm a few minutes ago – party balloons in the sky!! I’d say it’s off to a great start. 😉 My husband and I spent seven hours on the road, yesterday, picking up the Birthday Girl’s surprise gifts: a sweet, little chestnut mare, named Ruby, and a spunky, black-and-white mini-pony mister, named Pokey. We couldn’t be more in love with our gentle, adorable, new family members, and I’m so excited to see our daughter’s – all of our kids’ – reactions, later today!!! My daughter wanted a pirate-themed swim party, so we’ve incorporated a treasure hunt into the mix that’ll lead them down to our new farm, where Ruby and Pokey will shock and awe (and hopefully not get too freaked out from all the hyperventilating and squeals that will ensue. My daughter has a generous dose of dramatic flair – have no idea where she gets it.);)

Happy Day, means a happy style post! And nothin’ says happy better ‘n gingham, am I right? 😉 So thrilled to partner again with & Other Stories for this post! This gingham top…. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever loved a top more. It’s so swingy-breezy (suuuuper nice for the hottest days of summer, right now!!), and the sweet cap sleeve and hi-lo ruffle details make it feel so special – it puts an extra bounce in my step. And makes me wanna twirl. I’m wearing this exact outfit for the party today – it adds a little cheer to all the skulls and crossbones happening around here…. eye roll. Arrg.

That beautiful black-and-white wristlet? It’s by my talented friend, Anne of Mari Lassa. Lovinggg.

Literally, right after I shot this look, my marigold tassel earrings arrived from Jemma Lou!! So, I hadta put ’em on immediately. How stinking cute are they??!
