Fashion week is a daunting event to dress for, I’ll start there. Knowing that you will be brushing shoulders with editors and bloggers from your favorite website and publications (no joke I nearly collided with Anna Wintour) puts tremendous weight on the shoulders of a girl who allocates her budget to just a few “investment
New York Fashion Week: What I Wore (final night)
Alas, this is my final “What I Wore” post (sad face). But there’s no need for tears and despairing, because Haley will be sharing her NYFW outfit posts this weekend! Hooray! I jest; I hope you know we don’t take our posts that seriously (most of the time). These photos were taken our final evening
New York Fashion Week: What I Wore Day 2
So, this trip was not just about fashion week, for my team and I. We had several shoots, projects, and meetings to cram in, but most importantly, for many of us, it was our first time meeting each other in person!! I’ve known Haley for over two years now, and speak/text with her almost every single
New York Fashion Week Spring 2015: Street Style
So, it wouldn’t be right not to post a NYFW street style post!!! I mean, people-watching is super fun, anyway, but at Lincoln Center during fashion week?! Whole ‘nother level of people-watchin’. You’re going to love this colorful, playful, artful peek at street style fashion through the genius lens of Lisa Brown, Bella Rose Photography….
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: What We Wore Day 1
“Don’t act like a tourist. Just act like you’ve done this a million times.” I can’t stand this advice! My team and I had the privilege of attending New York Fashion Week last week, and although I have lived in NYC (a million years ago), I was a total tourist on this trip, and I thoroughly

I could honestly care less if what I’m wearing is “on trend,” or not; I’m too old, too busy
Stripes to the Max(i)
Overused terms like “Now and Later” and “Transitional Style” seem to be taking over our little fashion worlds by storm like a torrential trend, and although I’m pretty weary of them, their over-use is for a valid reason. It’s almost fall, but not quite. Although mornings/evenings might be feeling cooler, it’s still hottt during the day.
Bordeaux Blues
I know. The temps barely dipped into the 70s, and I busted out some fall-wear. It’s the hat’s fault; I got that bordeaux goodness in the mail recently, and haddd to wear it! At least I didn’t pair it with fur (yet). I’m not that ridiculous (yet). Oregon Wearing: Chambray Shirt: Madewell. Jeans: ASOS. Hat:
Some Sparkle + Pink Bubbly = GNO Time
Who’s ready for a girls’ night? This girl is! Casual, with a little kick of sparkle, is the name of my GNO game. Wearing: Tee: Banana Republic. Jacket: Gap. Vegan Leather Shorts: Zara (very similar). Rings: Topshop. Necklace: Nasty Gal. Clutch: ASOS (similar). Sunnies: Valentino. Shoes: Rachel Roy (very similar). Lips: a mix of Bare
