It’s stillll summer, despite all the new, flanneled, quilted, and leathered fall lines popping up everywhere. I admit, I get pretty excited about wearing fall clothes; there are so many layers and options to play with, and I can practically smell the thin, cold air mixed with crunchy leaves! But a huge part of me is mightily resistant to wishing any time away – it goes by way too fast these days, as it is! It’s still summer. It’s still that bright, beautiful, mild, carefree time of year, where each day is softened and rounded with leisurely edges – even on work days….

So, with this look, I’m celebrating glorious summer with some fun, bright hues, and…. ice cream, of course! For those of you that don’t know, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month (back in 1984), and although I’m a little late to the party, I am more than happy to join! My cone got a little drippy, so it got dumped into a cup, but every last drip of it tasted like summer. Yurm.
