This NYE shoot was slightly comical. Between the gusty wind, rain, sleet, and snow avalanching down from the trees, it’s a wonder that there are any dry patches of outfit to sport in this look. This very Mary Poppins meets Narnia shoot and weather scenario is actually kind of a great metaphor of my life this past year with four littles… A wide, strange variety – always in large quantities – of stuff gets thrown at/on me, and I’ve found that the best solution, and ultimately, the best resolution, is to just laugh and roll with it (or around in it).

Wearing metallic elephants, and fringe, and fur helps, too.

I’m really not one for making resolutions, but laughing a lot, and rolling with whatever life throws my way, seem like some pretty great ones to continue to stick to, so I’m gonna.
