Sooooo. I just got back from spending four, glorious days on a little getaway with my husband, celebrating our recent anni, and did I say it was glorious? Because it was. Heaven, really. We got to have long, uninterrupted convos, sleeeeeeeeep in (!!!!!!), hold hands and stroll, go out for all our meals, leisure shop, catch some flicks, and explore the town of pretty much our favorite place in the world: Bend, Oregon. My husband grew up there, and all I can think is… what a blessed place to do it. We’re so excited to move our family there in a few years!

We snapped these while out-and-about in Bend at twilight, so it’s a little dark, but I actually like that – such a quiet, somber, peaceful time of day.

So grateful for times like these that I get to spend with my husband, and beyond grateful for amazing grandparents that allow that to happen! Such a great getaway. Mama is recharged and ready to ring in those holidays, and to reflect with joy and humility the Reason of Hope and Grace we’ve so undeservedly been given through Christ Jesus.
