So, I wore this matching-print top and skirt at New York Fashion Week, back in early September when the weather was warrrm, and decided I wanted to fall-ify it. I added a some chambray, some thigh boots, and was feelin’ a little retro that day, so I went for a 60s vibe, too! Why not? What and how you decide to wear something totally depends on mood, right? That’s probably the most unexpectedly fun and luxurious thing about fashion. There aren’t many things in your daily life that you can alter or completely change on a whim, solely based on your mood, but fashion can be one of them! It lets us celebrate our inner diva in a safe and respectable manner. No beaming blue M&Ms at people’s heads, or demanding that your Avian water be served in a glass at room temperature business. Rather, it’s totally respectable to be like, “I’m feeling chunky knit today vs. stretchy ponte.”
And no one’s heads are harmed, or marred with blue dents. Win, win.
Wearing:
Top + Skirt: Topshop (top is sold out). Chambray Shirt: Madewell (old – here’s a similar shirt by J.Crew). Earrings: Jules Smith. Rings: Jules Smith (similar JS ring) + Zara. Watch: The Horse. Cuff: Olivia Welles (similar). Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (similar M by MJ bag). Sunnies: Valentino (similar Valentino sunnies). Boots: Stuart Weitzman. Nails: Julep in “Monaco.”
FYI: Those boots are like warm, comfy leggings, by the way, so I’m basically going to be living in them this fall and winter. #bestfrandsforlifewinter
