It is time to hop over the BIG pond and head to Paris Fashion Week for Spring 2015 looks! Who’s ready?! I AM!! I’m piggybacking on Tricia’s NYFW beauty post.
So. There was a lot of natural makeup with a little shimmer, futuristic, 60’s, 70’s, and of course, the oh-so-fab smokey eye. There has yet to be a fashion show that hasn’t had some sort of smokey eye, whether it’s brown/natural or the full on dark/black smokey.
I just love being able to see what a designer will come up with for hair and makeup to top off a look, and I believe they pulled it together gracefully. It is one of my favorite things to watch for when seeing these shows. I mean, honestly, hair and make up can make or break a look. We ladies live to play with makeup, hair products, and dress to the nines, so why not pull our inspiration from the runway? I mean that’s what it’s there for, right? Top off your look like the designers… (we can help you achieve that, BTW)!
Emanuel Ungaro
Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear
I had so many favorites from Paris, so it was difficult to choose just one. I grabbed this one from MAC Cosmetics‘ Instagram because I love this close-up, detailed shot! I loved the vivid blue shadow that artist, Lucia Pieroni, paired with the dashing red lips. This look is definitely not an everyday look, but it worked with Emanuel Ungaro‘s “Neon Bride” theme.

Thanks to Harpers Bazaar, this comparison was found of Andy Warhol’s painting of Elizabeth Taylor. It’s best to follow the rules of makeup, and focus on one focal point, but this look is definitely an exception… Our team agrees; it’s so enchanting, we can’t take our eyes off of it!
Christian Dior

Christian Dior is all about the clean lines, from head, to toe. Since there were only pops of color here and there throughout the show, I loved that on the eyes of every model, there was a splash of color. The colors that were chosen are so unique; the paste liners were brilliant, and eye-catching. The artist nailed it by pairing the colored liner with natural makeup. You never want to have too much going on when you have a focal point, and in this case, it’s amazing eyes.
Valentino

Now, I know Valentino is from Milan Fashion Week, but I had to include this look because it’s perfection!! Valentino is pulling out the secret weapon of a beautiful brown lid, and those strawberry lips that are all the rage!! This is looking like bridal makeup spring 2015 to me!! It is the perfect way to dress-up your look for a wedding (or a night out), and still feel like yourself without being overdone. Classic. Beautiful. You.
Balmain

Sheer, raw, effortless, and glowing are the words that come to mind when I look at the makeup from Balmain’s show. This makeup is great to achieve when spring hits, because we are all itching to look like we just walked off the beach (knowing we haven’t even seen the sun in months). Winter isn’t here, and I’m already wanting this look back!
Chanel

Last, but certainly not least, Chanel is channeling rosy cheeks and smokey eyes for next season!! This is another one of my favorites! Like I said earlier, I can’t choose just one…. maybe not even just two. There’s no stopping these fierce and powerful looks from Chanel – they’re killin’ it.
Ahhh, Paris…. now, if I could really visit you, how thrilling would it be to enjoy your beauty?! For now, I’ll just enjoy your fashion week state-side, and will be pulling so much inspiration from all these amazing, Parisian designers this coming spring!
