Before we commence with the tone and pace of regular, normal, style blogging, I just wanted to take a moment to address how saddened we are to learn of the passing of legendary designer, Oscar de la Renta. He was a true gentleman, a brilliant talent – a legend that defined glamour for us all, and consistently gave us fresh, exquisite interpretations of beauty. Rest in peace, Oscar….

One of my favorite quotes from him is, “The great thing about fashion, is that it always moves forward.”
So. Moving forward, we soldier on, today, in the creative business of styling ourselves for fall…. Not so poetic, or glam, I know, but neither word takes up much space – if any – in real life (well, mine, anyway!). One of the mannny reasons I love fall is for all the fun layering you get to play around with! Chilly, but not super cold? Sleeveless sweater, belted over a dress. Done. I recently wore this to church (hence, my front porch photo shoot), but it’s a great, comfy, fall look for work, too!
Wearing:
Sweater: Zara. Dress: Madewell (old, but here’s a similar Madewell dress). Belt: ASOS. Earrings: Jules Smith. Rings: Jules Smith + Zara. Bag: Oryany (old, but love this similar Liebeskin bag). Sunnies: American Eagle. Boots: Stuart Weitzman. Nails: Julep in “Mary Lee.”
Here’s to looking, and moving forward!
