I’m bacccck! Barely. It’s hard getting back on the crazy, mama-circus train after a trip! Phew. If you follow me on Instagram, you know my little fam and I headed to Texas for a family reunion, this past week. We played in Dallas a few days, and then headed down to the Deep South (including a stop at Magnolia Market in Waco! More on that, this week!). Today, I’m sharing with you an afternoon we spent at the Perot Science Museum in Dallas, with the cousins, some aunties, an uncle, and our grandma. We basically took over the joint. To be honest, I find science museums to be very boring (I loooove art museums!!), but my kiddos and my husband could spend all day, every day at them, so we go a lot. And being the responsible adult that I am, I try(ish) to encourage it, and try not to drag my heels too much. This museum wasn’t so bad! We saw a great IMAX film on outer space (love that stuff), and they had a great geology exhibit, too. I’m kind of a geology nerd, so I was majorly pacified (but if you’re not, you might be majorly bored with some of my rock photos). Plus, my oldest lost her tooth during lunch, and I even documented that. This post is super exciting.
Try to stay with me – I shopped pretty day dresses for you, today! The Day Dress is pretty much a mom’s hero for outings such as these. Pair ’em with sneaks, a light jacket, and/or a crossbody (helps pare down the volume of easy-breeziness), and you are not only super comfy for the day, but you can look super cute to boot!:)
Dress: Banana Republic | Jacket: Gap | Crossbody: Rebecca Minkoff (similar) | Necklace: Gorjois “Avery” | Sneaks: Nike | Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Love that motley crew o’ mine.
If you made it this far without falling asleep, congrats!! Thanks for stickin’ with me – pretty dresses are below!;)
xx -Carrie
