The phrase, “life through rose-tinted glasses,” often draws cynical, dismissive snorts from the sarcastic realists of the world, but I just think of that phrase in a different way, I suppose. Life, in general, is a challenge for all of us, and downright harrrrrd at times. Being able to view this challenging – sometimes brutally so – world around us with a rosy, cheery lens is a brave choice, in my book. It takes courage, grit, and resolve for most of us to choose this lens. So, fist pumps and high-fives to us courageous souls that make this brave choice on the daily, hourly, sometimes minutely(!). We may not always succeed, but there is beauty and strength and authenticity in the effort, and I’d say that’s pretty durn real, even for the most hardcore realists out there.;)

You know what’s not exactly a courageous choice, but a really good one? Literally wearing rose-tinted sunnies (I love them!!). I partnered with Anthropologie for this post, and am feelin’ all the rosy, Parisian feels in this date-night-inspired look. This just might be my favorite outfit, yet. The silky blouse adds jusssst the right amount of femininity and romance, while the faux leather skinnies (oh those skinnies!!!), add the perfect amount of sexy edge. I recently wore this on a date with my guy, and he was lovingggg…. I really didn’t need to work for, or wear, the rosy glasses that evening (three big cheers for those moments!!), but they paired perfectly with my new “Scarlett” necklace, so hadta.;)
