#thankful
This is the hashtag that’s been plastered across all of our social feeds for the past 10 days. Because November has now deemed it cool to count your blessings and not whine about missing Pilates or someone at kinkos giving you the stink eye. #firstworldproblems
Some times our #thankfulness is code for #firstworldthankfulness. My best friend mused to me last night that the girl who was #thankful for all the likes she got on the Instagram of her cute baby reveal invites maaaayyyy have missed the point.
I am very thankful to have been blessed to live a relatively comfortable life. I mean, I can’t always buy the cute new item off Piperlime, but my rent and bills are paid and the fridge is stocked. In comparison to many others living on the same street as me here in Brooklyn, my cup overflows.
Today I want to introduce a brand that literally sews thankfulness into their product. Elegantees was founded by a group of women who wanted to save other women. Women who are thankful to no longer view a bedroom as their “workplace.” This organization is dedicated to rescuing women from sex trafficking and exploitation by providing a viable means of employment and a safe place to live. Talk about thankful! Elegantees teaches victims how to sew and is then able to offer employment and a steady income. These things lead to a healthier self-image, independence and confidence. Today I’m #thankful to partner with these women and introduce you, dear readers, to a brand that’s changing lives, one chic tee shirt at a time.
And ladies let me tell you – these TEES ROCK! Soft, fitted, and the perfect layering piece and under thirty bucks! Shop their collection here!
Please check this site out and buy a tee shirt! Excellent gift ideas for the girl in your life who likes to dress cute AND give back.
It’s a double win for us all.
Humbly,
Haley
