I cannot believe we only have a few more days left here in Texas! Despite being sick on and off for most of our stay, we’ve had the best month ever! We recently spent a morning/afternoon at the Fort Worth Museum, and stayed until they practically kicked us out – we all had such a great time learning and playing!

When we first entered, we were greeted with a sobering site of an actual steel structural piece, recovered from the North Tower of the World Trade Center, that was situated just above where the first airplane hit. Since I had recently finished teaching my oldest two about what happened on 9/11 a few weeks ago in our history class, they were absolutely transfixed – so was I!

We just had such an incredible experience with our kiddos, from picking out our favorite stars and planets in the planetarium, to water play stations and grocery store play, to building “aircrafts” and testing them in air funnels, to overloading our senses of sight and sound, learning about the tropical islands of West Papua in IMAX form. Truly amazing. I’m not ashamed to say we were the very last peeps to leave.

Did ya catch my little 4-year-old, eager reader sounding out and reading my “Bella” pouch perfectly? ‘Cuz she did. So proud of my Georgie. So proud of all of them for their hunger for learning, and making my job as their teacher so beyond rewarding there simply are no words for it. I’m constantly learning a thing or two from them. Always will!
