Speaking of camel coats (from my somewhat recent “Fall Staples” shopping post), I just purchased my first one ever! I went all out, too, with a luxurious, polyester blend from…. Forever 21. I know, I know. Camel coats are timeless, classic, worth an investment, and all that, but for me, I honestly wasn’t sure how often I was actually going to reach for this color? I seldom wear my trench I’ve had forever, and that’s another classic staple, so I decided to baby step with this one to see how often I actually wear it, before I decide whether or not to invest in one. That makes sense, right? Please, just nod. I think I’m fighting something, and my brain is working in slow mo these days. It won’t compute expensive camel wool right now. It just won’t.

So, this baby doesn’t do any virgin wool, cashmere business, but I really like the silhouette, annnd it’s warm! The wind has been icy here, lately, so this camel-hued girl does her job. Can’t complain.

I have to add that with all this neutral, camel business, I’m loving a little punch of cobalt on my nails! I’ve decided this “Monaco” shade is my favorite mani color of all time – I find myself admiring it a lot, and my husband even told me it was his favorite on me, too (deal sealed). Moral of this story? If you’re unsure about a big-ish purchase, just wait on it, and go for a bold mani, instead.
