Our sehr schön, German partner blogger, Roya of Blue Jeans White Shirt, suggested a “Deep Blue Sea” theme for this month’s Skip! It could be nautical-inspired, beachy, or just something deep blue…. While I didn’t go for anything very nautical or beachy, I immediately knew I wanted to shoot near the deepest blue hue I’ve ever seen in my life: Crater Lake. My photos absolutely do not do this magnificent place justice – not even close. If you’re ever out this way, I highly recommend visiting! This particular shoot was shot on the east rim, which is only open a few, warm months out the year. It’s absolutely breath-taking!! We packed a picnic, and made a beautiful family day out of it.

Of note: I did not hike to the rim in the shoes I’m wearing (although I honestly could have, the hike was so easy)!
