It panged my heart a little to upload these photos, this morning. This is what we wore this past Sunday, and while we were standing in the parking lot after church, we learned there had been a three-car accident with one fatality that had recently occurred, not far from where we were. My heart had dropped.
Satin + Velvet
So, you’ve probably heard that velvet is the new It Kid in town. Dresses, tops, pants, jackets, shoes, necklaces – you name it, if it’s velvet, you should probably wear it. I threw on a fun, little corset top in velvet over a button down (I would ne-he-ver wear this by itself. Scary.), and paired
Newtrals
This week has been busssyyy! School has launched off into a really great start – still working out some general kinks, but I think next week we’ll get into a smoother rhythm. I’m super, super excited about some new programs I’m starting with my kiddos! It has me all pumped and jazzed about this new
Sunday Belated
Sure hope you’ve been enjoying a nice, long weekend! Our weekend plans kind of fell through, due to my husband and I not feeling well, but it’s forced us to take it easy, which has been really nice. We’ve been able to get a lot done on the interior design of our house (so fun!!
Time to Start that Long Weekend
Goooood Friday morning!!! Feels good to the bones that today marks the beginning of a nice, luxurious, stretched-out weekend. Happy sigh. And to kick off this glorious weekend, I’ve partnered with Jord, a brand that specializes in luxury wood watches. What I love most about their designs, is that each one reflects a balanced mix of ruggedness and elegance
Draper James
Wowzers, can’t believe I’m just now getting around to posting the look I wore to Draper James a few weeks ago in Nashville… The past couple of weeks have been a bit over-scheduled around here, but a lot needed to get done before school starts next week, and before I’m in full-time teacher mode (I’m teaching
Fall-in’ for Florals
We made it to Friday!! Woohoo!! It’s been a busy, but really good week for us. God is so good. And while floaty, floral frocks are not nearly as good as God, they come pretty close. They’re the new It Girls in the dress world for fall, and there are plenty of reasons why: 1)
Nashville Nights
So, my husband and I took a quick work trip to Nashville, last week, and despite it being for work, it was so fun! My favorite part about any trip (when it’s just the two of us), is the flights. We fly with our ipad fully stocked with fresh movies, or TV series (The Man
Summer Olympics, Circa 1976-ish
Phew, Olympic spectatorship is exhausting. Anyone else running on little sleep, trying to keep up with The Games? I feel a little unpatriotic for admitting this, but we’ve been DVR-ing it, and watching it a day late to save on time, and to see the sports we’re really interested in (does anyone really take the time
Paris is Always a Good Idea
We celebrated our daughter’s 9th birthday this past Saturday with a Jungle-Obstacle-Course themed birthday (her idea), and then followed that up with county-fair fun after church the next day. This wore me out more than hauling, stacking, shredding logs and limbs all weekend – no lie. I could barely move yesterday. It seriously took me
