Goooood morning! So, getting back into the homeschool-teaching saddle this week has been anything but seamless. After two weeks off, I seem to have forgotten how much I have to fit in to the day – my word! Every other minute, I’m all like, Oh, yeah. Wait. We’re supposed to do thaaat now. After…. the other thing we were supposed to have already done. While the laundry mountain is cleaning itself, and the piles of crumbs, and smears on counters and floors magically disappear. (Let’s stop there for a sec. How do kids manage to do that after every.single.meal.? It’s like food finger-painting on the top, and a 3 a.m. bar on the bottom. It never ceases to have me Like Whoa.) And then, Howww is it dinnertime already?? Did I brush my teeth, today?? I feel like I’m sprinting uphill all day, which is how I imagine most moms feel (I don’t think I’m unique, here). But sprinting is a good word to describe it, because while it’s tiring and fast-paced, it’s also really invigorating. We’ve been working on our house plans this week, and I think the “sprinting” has fueled my inspiration and creativity, and I just feel sooo out-of-breath. And excited. Which probably means I’m gonna crash, tomorrow. Or later today.
All that to say, I think all this creativity stuff made me start brooching things. I never wear brooches! And maybe I overdid it, but I had a lot of fun with it, and think I’ll do it a lot more, now. Shopped a goodlookin’ brooch bunch for ya, below…. 😉
