Sorry for the long, blog silence! The last couple of weeks have been challenging on many different levels. If you follow me on social media, you know what’s been going on, but if not, I’ll give you a really brief update:

*** My family and I were supposed to be moving to Germany this week for a few years, but God had other plans for us. My husband’s father was killed in a car accident last Sunday, and my husband and I made the decision to make an immediate move to his hometown in Bend, so he could step into the family business, we could help run the family farm, and take good care of his mama. We’re confident that this is exactly where we are supposed to be, and are so grateful and humbled that God mercifully and lovingly used our desire to live in Europe to have us poised and ready to easily move at this very moment in time. God is so, so good. All the time. ***

So. We’re in the middle of getting the rest of our stuff here, unpacking the stuff we do have, and getting ourselves and our four littles settled in at my mom’s (in-law) house, while we start to build our own just about a half-mile down the driveway. (How neat is that?!) Between the unpacking, organizing, teaching school, and learning new ropes of how things are done around here on the farm, I thought it might be another couple of weeks before I could climb back into the style saddle, again. Butttt, I forgot I had already shot some looks, in anticipation of our busy move to Germany, so I’m armed and ready to start blogging again, right away! What’s more, I shot these looks at our new home on the farm. How fitting.

We feel very blessed, and are eager to see how this new chapter of our lives unfolds. Thank you so much for all your kind messages and comments this past week. Your encouragement and love has meant the world.
